Tommy “Tom” Lee Spidel Obituary, Tommy “Tom” Lee Spidel Has Passed Away

Tommy “Tom” Lee Spidel Death, Obituary – Tommy “Tom” Lee Spidel, who was 88 years old when he died away, was surrounded by his family when he did so on June 1, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Centre. Tom received his high school diploma from Ysleta High School in Ysleta, Texas in the year 1953. Butchofsky’s Animal Clinic in Ysleta, Texas, was where he got his first job after graduating from college. He worked for the El Paso Natural Gas Company in El Paso, Texas, the Southern California Gas Company in Los Angeles, California, and the Northern Indiana Fuel and Light in Angola, Indiana.

All of these companies are located in the United States. After that, Tom worked for a while as the City Planner of Angola, Indiana, in addition to co-owning an antique shop with his wife and best friend, Donna (Smith) Spidel. The business was called Angola Antique Depot and Circle T Bar D Antiques.

Over the course of more than 55 years, Tom was an enthusiastic and active member of the Fremont Northeastern Masonic Lodge No. 210 of Free and Accepted Masons. In addition to that, he spent over 45 years as a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge No. 180 in Angola. Tom thoroughly enjoyed the time he was able to devote to helping his community in the capacities of Scout Master of Fremont Boy Scout Troup 186, Trustee of Pleasant Township, and Member of the Fremont School Board.

Tom Spidel’s grandparents, Raymond Lee and Sally Marie (Hartney) Spidel, his parents Raymond Lee and Sally Marie (Hartney) Spidel, his loving wife Donna Spidel, and one grandson Zachary Klink all passed away before him. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service on Friday, June 9 at the Pinnington Funeral Home located at 502 North Main Street in Auburn, Indiana. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Roselawn Cemetery is going to be used for the interment. Brothers: this is not a post that is simple to make.

Everyone had a lot of affection for Tom. His working tools were put to excellent use throughout his life.
We must break the news to you with heavy hearts that our Brother Tommy Lee Spidel has passed away. Please accept our condolences. Tommy’s birth took place in California on December 13, 1962, and he became a member of North Eastern Lodge in June of 1965.

Tommy was a stalwart supporter of the Craft. He held various leadership positions within the organisation, including Worshipful Master, and most recently held the position of Treasurer. In addition to the leadership responsibilities that were delegated to him, he served as a friend, confidant, mentor, and was a strong advocate for the fraternity.
