Shooting in Oak Park, 4 Shot During West Suburban Funeral Procession Report Says

Shooting in Oak Park –  According to the police, four persons were shot during a funeral procession that took place in the west suburbs on Saturday afternoon. According to the reports of the police, the incident took place on the 900 block of Madison Street in Oak Park. According to the authorities, they think that individuals participating in the parade were the intended targets of the gunfire. Bystanders were not wounded.

Those who were there at the time of the aftermath described it as a chaotic scene and stated that they saw a couple of casualties being transported away to need medical attention. According to the account of one parent, he and his child were present inside a music school on the same block where the shooting took place. “While we were having a conversation with the instructor at my child’s music session, all of a sudden, we heard something that sounded like a snare drum. “It was kind of like a rhythmic sound, and [the instructor] was like, ‘we don’t have any drum lessons scheduled for today,'” Jaime Rava explained.

Near the scene of the gunshot, Madison Street is blocked off in both directions. The authorities did not provide a timetable for when the street would be accessible again. In the immediate aftermath of the incident, the police did not give any additional details. This is a narrative that is still unfolding. Keep checking back with ABC7 for any further information.
