Ron Zuccala Obituary, Death – We announce the passing of Ronald Zuccala (Guelph, Ontario), who died on May 31, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving behind family and friends to grieve. On Ronald Zuccala’s memorial page, send the family a message of sympathy as a final remembrance. Louis and Clara, his parents, were both deceased. His wife Margaret, children Michael, Claire (Jeff), Katie (Josh), and Rob (Anna), as well as his sisters Linda (Lino), Donna, and Judy (Meacheal), are the ones he leaves behind. His numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and close friends will also miss him. On Friday, June 9th 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, visitation will take place at the Hart Chapel at Gilbert McIntyre & Son Funeral Home (1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, Ontario N1G4X9).

On June 10, 2023, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, a memorial ceremony will be place at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St., Guelph, ON N1G4X9). On Saturday, June 10th, 2023, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, a reception will be hosted there. Donations to the Guelph General Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation are welcome as tokens of sympathy. With his devoted wife and closest friend, JoAnn, by his side, Ron passed away peacefully at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice. Juliana and Adam’s proud and loving father, as well as his parents Raymond and Mary, the Martin siblings Nanci and Peter (Sue), Barbara and Donna Hogberg. Mark, Scott, Casandra (Matt), Steven, Vincent (Kristin), Mary, and Veronica, along with the rest of his big extended family, will miss Uncle Ron.

His cherished friends and cherished coworkers will remember him with affection. Although our hearts are heavy, we are incredibly grateful to have had him in our life. Ron was affable, generous, and selfless. Whether it was in the boardroom, on the ice, on the golf course, or at the kitchen table, he respected honesty and fairness. He will be remembered for his distinct sense of humor, which permeated so many facets of his life, and for the exemplary way he handled the 18 months following his glioblastoma diagnosis with grace and optimism. He was a unique individual who left his mark on many others.

On Friday, January 18, at 2:00 p.m., a funeral mass will be held at St. Martin de Porres Church, 3891 Old Richmond Road, in Ottawa. A reception will immediately follow at Ottawa’s St. Anthony’s Banquet Hall, located at 523 St. Anthony St. (off Preston St.). Donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be highly appreciated as expressions of condolence.
