Roger Stalter Obituary, Death – In the early days of the smoked meat industry, Wallace Johnson was a pioneering figure. Through the creation of his boudin, sausage, and a wide range of other smoked meat products, he ushered in a new era for the industry. In addition to that, he was a pioneer in the development of the industry as well as a leader in the sector. The information that he has left has brought us to a level of hopelessness that is beyond our ability to adequately describe.
It was in February of 2011 when Renaissance Publishing created their very first publication, which also happened to be the very first issue of their magazine. Johnson was prominently featured on the front cover of that issue of the magazine that they produced. In addition, Renaissance Publishing’s magazine was being published for the very first time with this particular publication. To this very day, this remains one of the topics in the annals of world history that comes up in discussions between historians more frequently than any other topic does.
Johnson’s Boucanière, located in the heart of downtown Lafayette, has been held in extremely high respect by residents of the Lafayette community ever from the moment it first opened its doors to the public. This regard stretches all the way back to the very first day that the restaurant offered its services to the public. This has been the case ever since the very beginning, when it first started welcoming customers and members of the general public.
Even while we are all well aware of the fact that Mr. Johnson will be profoundly missed by a vast number of people, his legacy, which includes the recipes and favorites, will continue to live on for many years after he has passed away. During this difficult time, he, his family, and each and every one of his friends are in our thoughts and prayers. We are thinking of and praying for all of them. We are sad that he is having to go through all of this difficulty.
