Richard J. Bokma Death, Obituary – Richard Bokma IN VALPARAISO On Saturday, January 7, 2012, Richard J. Bokma, 56, of Valparaiso, Indiana, went away at home with his loved ones by his side. To John and Gene (Hartwick) Bokma, he was born on September 25, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. Richard attended Christ Lutheran Church in Valparaiso and had previously worked for Glenmont Global Solutions as an electrical engineer.
Richard wed Debra L. Kandalec on October 21, 1978 in Hammond; she is survived by their children, Erick (Shannon Stout) Bokma of Michigan City and Laura (Matthew) Green of Valparaiso; their mother, Gene Bokma of Bella Vista, Arkansas; their brother, Ron Bokma of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and numerous devoted friends and family members. I’m writing to inform you that we have lost another student.
Jill Bokma died over the weekend. There are no specifics, however I did notice a fundraiser to assist with funeral expenses, which I will include below. Many people will miss her distinct and dazzling personality. His father preceded him in death. Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory in Valparaiso, a memorial service will be place at Christ Lutheran Church, 2610 N. Campbell, Valparaiso.
On Friday, January 13th at 5:00 PM, with Rev. Jerry Castleman officiating. The memorial visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Lamb Preschool, 2610 N. Campbell, Valparaiso 46383, or Hesston Steam Museum, 1201 East 1000 North LaPorte 46343.
