Raymond Devlin Obituary, Death – Raymond E. Devlin, 58, of Auburn, IL, died Sunday, June 4, 2023. He was born Nov. 25, 1964, in Jacksonville, the son of Lawrence and Marjorie (Shehorn) Devlin. He married Jill Marie Winters on Sept. 27, 1997, in Springfield, and she survives. He is also survived by two children, Justin Devlin and Jessica Devlin, both of Auburn; his granddaughter, Marilyn Devlin; and his sister, Kathy Goodman (Darren Allen) of South Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Raymond was a 1983 graduate of Jacksonville High School and earned an associates degree in drafting from John Wood Community College. He was the parts manager at Hall’s Cycles in Springfield for 33 years and served as District 17 Enduro Director for several years. He was a life member of AMA (American Motorcycles Association) and a club member of Dirt Riders Inc. in Oakley. Raymond was well loved by the motorcycle community. He enjoyed hiking, and loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his granddaughter.
A visitation will be held 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville, followed by a graveside service at Diamond Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be sent online at buchanancody.com.
