The previous two weeks have flown by in what can only be described as a blur. Because this form of cancer is so aggressive, Nicole had to be taken to the hospital as soon as possible. She has been running around to different appointments to get tests and scans done so that she can begin her therapy as soon as possible.
The scans, however, showed that the breast cancer had spread to her lymph nodes as well as her lungs. This indicates that Nicole has advanced triple-negative breast cancer in the Stage IV stage. This diagnosis will completely change the course of my life and is quite upsetting. Nicole has a very long road ahead of her, but she is positive that she will be a medical miracle despite the difficulty of the journey.
