Mr. Joaquin Hernandez Obituary, Death – I must break the news to the Eissler Community that Mr. Joaquin Hernandez has been transferred to the Emerson Junior High School, and I do it with a heavy heart. Because we didn’t find out until the last day of school, we didn’t have time to commemorate everything that he had meant to Eissler over the course of the past 17 years. He has always served as this institution’s beating heart and pillar of strength. Many instructors and principals have entered and left the building under his watch. He is something that the Eissler Community can depend on in every situation.
I will be eternally grateful to him for all of the support, wisdom, prayers, and unwavering love that he has shown to Eissler families, students, and staff over the years. He will unquestionably be missed by many. The following year will provide us fresh possibilities to create new relationships and continue the good, supporting systems and structures that make Eissler the exceptional place that it is.
Mr. H has consistently been an extremely valuable contributor to Eissler and to all of the families. His compassion for our deaf and hard of hearing students has never failed to move my emotions. On his first day, he made a request for a sign language dictionary since he could not conceive the possibility that there would be students on campus with whom he would be unable to speak.
He is the kind of person that always goes beyond what is expected of them. All of these years, Eissler has been very fortunate to have him as an employee. I hope everything works out well for Mr. H., Emerson is fortunate to have him.
