Michael Parks Obituary,Death – Michael “Mike” Wayne Parks, who lived in Tobaccoville and was 67 years old when he died on June 9, 2023, passed away in the Willow Valley Nursing and Rehab facility that was located in Winston Salem. Both of his parents, Edna Hester Tibbs and Marshall Parks, had passed away prior to his birth. He was their son. Mike was the pioneer who laid the groundwork for King Towing.

His children, Michael Parks and Michelle Lane, as well as his grandchildren, Isaiah Parks, Eli Parks, and Cheyenne Lane, as well as his brothers, Kenneth Parks and Charles Parks, and his sister, Linda Jo Stanley, are among those who continue to carry on his legacy. Also carrying on his legacy are his great-grandchildren, Isaiah Parks, Eli Parks, and Cheyenne Lane. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Shelby Elizabeth Parks, as well as by his sisters Debbie Buchanan and Pattie Tibbs Harris.

Shelby Elizabeth Parks was the last member of his family to pass away. He was the only kid of his parents and did not have any siblings. On the evening of Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from five o’clock in the evening until seven o’clock in the evening, members of the family will be available at Slate Funeral Home in King to meet and greet visitors and allow them to pay their respects. In the future, there will be a burial service that will only be attended by the immediate family.
