Matthew Hendrickson Obituary, Death – On May 16, 2023, Matthew Keith Hendrickson, 39, of Bisbee, North Dakota, was laid to rest in the presence of his loved ones. His passing left his family and friends with a significant hole in their lives. Pastor Bonnie Weaver will preside over a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 5:00 PM at the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home in Cando, North Dakota. One hour will be set aside for visitation before the service.
On March 25, 1984, Matt was born in Rugby, North Dakota. He went to school in Bisbee-Egeland and received his diploma in 2003. In his lifespan, Matt held a variety of professions, including custom combining, laboring on Grandpa Jack’s farm, working in the oil fields, and working for the firm Strata. He was dragged away from everything by something. Matt has always had a passion for trucks and spends as much time as possible at Grandpa Gordon’s shop. He quickly mastered truck operation, and once long transporters arrived, he was typically cracking jokes with them.
Matt soon turned this devotion into a reliable employment working for his grandfather and father. Later, he went off on his own. He met the love of his life, Alisha (Jensen), through trucking, and the two were shortly wed in 2007. Wyatt and Hailey, Riley, Dillynn, Emery, and Madison were their six lovely children. They remained steadfast in raising their family and creating priceless memories through good times and bad.
Matt had an enduring passion for the great outdoors. One of his favorite pleasures was searching for deer sheds. Additionally, he delighted in family bonfires, rural cruising, and fishing with the kids. Despite everything Matt accomplished, he was given a congestive heart failure diagnosis in 2018. This advancing illness could not dampen his energy, cheerful outlook, or infectious laugh. He sadly passed away in May as a result. All of us will miss Matthew, but his family will miss him the most. He was predeceased by his mother Tina (Meyer) Hendrickson, his grandparents Eugene and Mary Lou (Erickson) Meyer and Gordon and Gerry (Hartl) Hendrickson.
His father Keith Hendrickson, wife Alisha (Jensen) Hendrickson, children Wyatt and Hailey, Riley, Dillynn, Emery, and Madison, sister Kayla (Ben) Edwards, niece Henley Edwards, and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins survive him. Weegee, rest in peace. Send memorials in Matt’s honor to the location of your choice.
