Mary McPherson Obituary, Death – On June 3, 2023, Mary F. McPherson, 94, of Mount Vernon, passed away in the company of her family at home. Harrison and Ethel (Dean) Smith welcomed her into the world on June 24, 1928 in Knox County, Ohio. Mary belonged to the Church of Christ on Newark Road. She had a talent for sewing. Mary liked to listen to country music, collect baby dolls, and garden. The time she spent with her family was her favorite pastime. Donald Morehouse of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Margaret (Dennis) Nicholls of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Janet McQuigg of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and David (Beverly) Morehouse survive Mary.
James McPherson and Morehouse of Mount Vernon, Ohio; 18 grandkids; 47 great grandchildren; 38 great, great grandchildren; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to her parents, spouse, daughter Jeannine Ayers, daughter-in-law Nancy Morehouse, siblings Ed Simpson, Marion Smith, Jean Smith, Margaret Schorr, and infants Norma Jean Smith and Charles Smith, Mary was also predeceased by her husband Williard McPherson.
