Mary Kester Obituary, Death – Mary V. Kester (née Messina), who passed away at the age of 80 and was laid to rest on June 10, 2023 in the convenience of her own home in Aston, Pennsylvania, was surrounded by her loving family members at the time of her passing. Before moving to Holmes, Pennsylvania, Mary and her family lived in a section of Southwest Philadelphia known as “The Meadows.” There, she received her early education. Mary was conceived in the city of Philadelphia. She was a member of the Ridley High School class of 1960 and went on to earn an associate’s degree in 1997 from Delaware County Community College.
She received her high school diploma from Ridley High School. During the same time period, she was also initiated into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Mary served in a variety of roles within the Penn-Delco School District over the course of her nearly four-decade-long career there, which spanned multiple decades. Reading and travelling on exciting journeys were two of her most beloved interests, but more than anything else, she enjoyed the time she got to spend with the people she cared about the most.
Mary was an enthusiastic parishioner of the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Aston, Pennsylvania, where she resided. The only person that was with her when she passed away was her devoted husband of 55 years, Donald Kester. Robert Kester, who portrays the role of Cristian Romano, and Susan Vaughan, who plays Matthew, are the show’s children. Sister: Barbara Roberston (Donald). Vaughan has two grandchildren, and their names are Christina and Ryan Vaughan.
The Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, which can be found at 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, Pennsylvania 19014, will be hosting a visitation on the evening of Friday, June 16, 2023, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. On the Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:30 in the morning, the funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, which is located at 3255 Concord Road in Aston, Pennsylvania 19014. The funeral and interment will be held in the Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, Pennsylvania.
