Mary Ann Hasse Death, Obituary – Mary Ann Hasse, who was 89 years old when she passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the StoryPoint Romeoville Memory Care facility, did not experience any pain in her final moments.On June 10, 1933, Mary Ann Hasse was one of nine children who were born to the late Robert and Marie (née Grill) Hasse. Mary Ann was the fifth child born to her parents. Mary Ann lives in the city of Joliet, which is located in the state of Illinois.
She attended College of St. Francis all the way through her secondary education and graduated with a degree in education from there. She was a member of the St. Francis Academy class of 1951, which was the year in which she received her diploma. Mary Ann had a long and fruitful career as a mathematics educator, the majority of which was spent at Lemont High School, from which she eventually retired.
She is survived by her brothers, Jack (Debra), and William; her sister-in-law, Lilly Mulligan; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and friends who were very dear to her. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Mary Ann had three sisters: Rita Balckburn, Sr. Maria Hasse, OSF (Janet), and Sr. Bernadine Hasse, OSF. Her brothers were Robert, Richard, and Reverend James Hasse, S.J. Mary Ann was the surviving member of her family after everyone else had passed away.
On Friday, June 9, 2023, at eleven in the morning, funeral services will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in Joliet, Illinois, in memory of the deceased. At the Essington intersection, the funeral home may be found at 3200 Black Rd. The burial will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery immediately after the conclusion of the funeral service.
