Mariah Abraham Death, Obituary – This year marks 13 years since Mariah Abraham said goodbye to the person she called the “love of [her] life.” On Tuesday, the reality star posted a slideshow of photographs taken at the gravesite of Derek Underwood, her ex-partner and the father of their daughter Sophia, who is now 13 years old. She captioned the image with, “13 years later, I’m grateful I see ‘FATHER’ on your headstone today,” which is a reference to the fact that it now reads “FATHER.”

“I am thankful for our family because through them I have gained a deeper understanding of the human condition, as well as bereavement, trauma, loss, and sadness. Your existence has improved not just my life but also the lives of many other people. She proceeded by saying, “In Living Memory, Peace and Love to DEREK UNDERWOOD, the Love of My Life and FATHER to our incredible and blessed @sophialabraham.” A blessing, a thank-you, and a farewell; you will be in my thoughts always and give me the strength to make the world a better place.

In 2008, Underwood passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident, just a few short months before Abraham gave birth to their daughter at the age of 17. Her experiences were documented on the MTV show “16 and Pregnant.” After that, she had an appearance on the shows Teen Mom and Teen Mom OG.

The last time Abraham appeared on Teen Mom was in the year 2017. According to court filings that were obtained by The Blast at the time, she later filed a lawsuit against the parent company of MTV, Viacom, seeking $5 million in damages, claiming that she was fired from the show Teen Mom OG because of her decision to engage in the adult entertainment industry. MTV’s Teen Mom franchise is getting a new spinoff series, and Farrah Abraham will be a part of it.

Abraham was rumored to be returning to her origins on the network in September, according to a source who spoke to PEOPLE. She reportedly agreed to star in the new MTV spinoff series that will bring together cast members from the previous three installments of the Teen Mom franchise: Teen Mom OG, Teen Mom 2, and Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant. The new series will bring all of the stars together at a resort, where they will remain confined to the same location for a period of time that has not yet been determined. There is currently no information available regarding when the series will initially air.
