Lucy Glynn Death, Obituary – On June 11th, 2023, Lucy Glynn (née Glancy), who resided at Boyle Road, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Roscommon, passed away while she was receiving compassionate care from the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle. She was a resident of County Roscommon. Her demise happened while she was a resident at the Drumderrig Nursing Home in Boyle receiving care. She was originally from Ireland, more specifically the county of Roscommon. She was born and reared on Boyle Road, which is located in Carrick-on-Shannon and is in Roscommon County. Boyle Road is a part of Carrick-on-Shannon.

Everyone who was there handled her passing with dignity and respect. Her devoted husband Eddie, both of her parents, and all of her brothers and sisters had all preceded her in death before she herself did. She was the final member of her family to pass away before she did. Her devoted daughter Helena (Gilhooly), her sons Joe, John, and Seamus, her daughters-in-law Breid, Paula, and Catherine, her son-in-law Joseph, and her grandchildren Gráinne, Eon, Seanagh, Sórcha, Conal, Caoimhe, Conor, Luke, Orna, and Darragh, in addition to her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors, and friends, will miss her tremendously.

The magnificent spirit that was once Lucy has earned the right to be permitted to sleep soundly for the length of eternity. The viewing will be held on Monday evening (12 June) at The Heritage Chapel of Rest in Carrick-on-Shannon, located at N41 KP62, from 4 to 7 o’clock in the evening. After the viewing, the body will be transported to St. Michael’s Church in Drumlion, where it will arrive at 8:00 p.m. for the funeral service that will be held there. At twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday (the 13th of June), a Christian funeral liturgy will be held in memory of the person who died away on Tuesday morning (the 13th of June). This will be done in honor of the individual who was a Christian. After then, the funeral service took place, and then the deceased’s body was interred in a cemetery in the Drumlion Cemetery.
