Lois Young Obituary, 84-year-old, Native of Oak Grove Missouri Lois Young

Lois Marie Young, who resided in Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on June 5th, 2023. She was 84 years old at the time of her passing. A visitation will be held for family and friends at the Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove on the evening of Friday, June 23, beginning at five in the afternoon and continuing until seven in the evening. Memorial services will be held at the Oak Grove Community of Christ Church on Saturday, June 24, beginning at eleven o’clock in the morning.

Lois was born on January 9, 1939 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Her parents were June (Sevy) Hoy and Harold R. Hoy. Her father’s name is Harold R. Hoy, and her mother’s name is June (Sevy) Hoy. In the beginning of her career, she held a position at the Internal Revenue Service in Kansas City. Subsequently, she found employment at the Commercial Bank of Oak Grove.

She worked both as an employee and as a manager at the Bates City Antiques, where she was responsible for one of the booths. Lois’s extracurricular activities over the years have included the creation of clay dolls, jewelry made from stained glass, jewelry making, oil painting, and quilting. In addition, she has dabbled in a range of crafts. She used an Ikebana-inspired approach to flower arrangement at the church’s world headquarters in Independence, Missouri, which are located in the United States.

She and her sister Elaine spent a lot of time together over the years learning how to clog. She was involved with a variety of groups, including the Friends of Missouri Town and the Oak Grove Historical Society, among others.
Her father Harold and her mother June, as well as her husband Elmer, daughter Diane, and brothers Harry and Larry all before her in death. Lois was the last surviving member of her family.

Her brother Duaine, who shared the same name as her, suffered the same fate as she did and went away the day after she did. OThere is a sister named Elaine, a brother named Jerry, a son named Dean who is married to Denise, a grandson named Devin who is married to Deanne, and three great-grandchildren named Logan, Luke, and Lane. All of these people currently live in the United States.
