Kevin Stelly Obituary, Death – Kevin Paul Stelly, who was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on March 8, 1967, passed away on June 11, 2023. His passing occurred exactly five decades after his birth. He had 56 years under his belt. His high school sweetheart and best friend, Angie Arceneaux Stelly, his wife of 35 years, Megan and Lindsey Ledet of Lafayette, and Alayna Stelly and Tyler Gaudet of Oklahoma City, OK, as well as his three grandchildren, Luca Beard, Essyn Gaudet, and Aurora Gaudet, as well as Trevor Beard, the father of Luca whom he loved and treated like a son, will miss him dearly.
Paul Stelly Jr., of Broussard, Louisiana; Dianna Lavergne McDonald, of Scott, Louisiana; Toby Stelly and Jodi Stelly, both of Lafayette; brother-in-laws Mike Arceneaux and wife Judy and Richard Arceneaux and companion Gerri Martin, both of Lafayette; and a large extended family consisting of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews all survive him as well.In addition to that, he was the proprietor of a thriving driving school in Lafayette that was known as “Safety Premiere Training.”
He instructed Driver Improvement, Alcohol Driver Education, and Defensive Driving courses for the benefit of all jurisdictions and insurance carriers. He was also a defensive driver. The classroom was where he found his true vocation. The families of his Driving Education students eventually grew to feel like an extended part of his own family to him. He won the confidence of these families, and as a result, the children became particularly attached to him.
