Kate Brown Obituary, Death – On Monday, June 12, 2023, Kathleen “Kate” May Brown, age 43, passed away at her home surrounded by her family. She had been ill for some time. She was the daughter of Gary and Dawn (Kenney) Burchard and was the product of a Janesville delivery on June 26, 1979. The year 1997 was Kate’s year to graduate from Brodhead High School. In Beloit on March 28th, 1998, she tied the knot with Benjamin Brown. Kate held the position of Director of Operations at Rhino Construction in her previous life.
“Coach” It was a labor of love for Kate to coach wrestling at Parkview High School. In addition to that, photography was one of Kate’s greatest interests. She had a large number of family members and friends, so she was able to indulge her passion for socializing frequently. Kate is survived by her husband Ben; sons: Byron (MacKenzie), Gavon (Tess Pinnow) and Korben (Lindsey Waagen); parents: Gary Burchard and Dawn (Kurt “Bonus Dad”) Leach; siblings: William (Erin) and Candace Burchard; grandparents: Larry and Kathleen Dustan and Robert Kenney;
sister-in-law: Jessica Fellenz; nephews: Keagan Stall, Carter Stall, Noah Burchard, Liam Burchard and Dallas Fellenz; and nieces: Quinn Burchard and Daize Fellenz.On Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., funeral services will be place at Newcomer Silverthorn Chapel on the Hill, which is located at 3008 S. Coon Island Road in Orfordville. The ceremonies will be officiated by Pastor Mark Place.
There will be a visitation on Friday, June 16, 2023 from three to seven o’clock in the evening at Newcomer Silverthorn Chapel on the Hill. There will also be a visitation on Saturday, beginning at ten in the morning and continuing until the time of the funeral ceremony. Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead, Rock County, will be the location of the interment.
