Karl Sparre Obituary, Death – Karl Leonard Sparre, 67, of Southborough, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at his home. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing, all of whom loved and cared for him deeply. He was the devoted son of Madeline (Rich), who he was named after, and Robert Hicks Sparre, who gave birth to him in Kinston, North Carolina. Katherine (Kelley) Sparre of Southborough lost her devoted husband Karl, who had been married to her for 28 years. Karl cherished and adored his wife.

They had a relationship that was one of love and devotion, and they genuinely treasured the time that they spent together. The enthusiasm that Karl had for life was contagious. He was a master gardener who filled his many spaces with a kaleidoscope of vivid hues and varied textures. He had a lot of gardens. He had been a runner his entire life, and he also enjoyed trekking and competing in a variety of sports. It brought him a great deal of delight to participate in these activities with his closest friends.

He never missed an opportunity to cheer on his children in any of their sporting endeavors since he took great pride in being their most ardent supporter. He was a devoted follower of the New England Patriots and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, both of which he cheered on enthusiastically. His favorite place to be was with his loved ones, and he eagerly anticipated spending time with them during their annual beach vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, which he considered to be his personal paradise.

On Monday, June 12th, visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home located at 57 Hayden Rowe Street in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. At 10:00 in the morning on Tuesday, June 13th, a funeral Mass will be held at Saint Matthew’s Parish, which is located at 26 Highland Street in Southborough, Massachusetts. Throughout his journey, he received exceptional care and support from the teams at both institutes, and his family would like to offer their most sincere gratitude for that care and support.
