Prior to his retirement, Aquila worked as a commercial fisherman and was a founder member of the cooperative of fishermen. He also fished for a living. His three sons, Jean-Guy (Lucianne) of Cap-Lumière, Charles of Campbellton, and Laurie (Murielle) of Boudreau Ouest, as well as his three grandsons, Jacques, Gilles, and Marcel, and his four great granddaughters, Monica, Venessa, Justin, and Sophia, will miss him very much.
