Jeanie McGee Obituary, Jeanie McGee Funeral Details

Jeanie McGee Obituary, Death – Jeanie Combs Crowe McGee was born on June 25, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio, and she met her Savior on May 20, 2023. Both events took place in the United States. She was born Finley Combs and Anna Mae Vaughn Combs’s daughter after they both passed away. Her mother Anna Mae, her sister Roxann Combs Vaughn, her daughter Nikki Crowe Browning and her husband Jeff, her son Joshua McGee, and her nephew Jason Vaughn and his wife Becky are the only members of Jeanie’s family who have survived her passing. She was known as MaJean to her great-nephew Maddox Vaughn, her great-niece Larkin Vaughn, and her great-niece Bellamy Rose Vaughn. Her grandson Canaan Browning was also called MaJean. Everyone who knew Jeanie, including her family, friends, coworkers, and previous pupils, as well as her basset hound, Charlie, will miss her much.

Jeanie spent her childhood in Carlisle, Ohio, and received her high school diploma from Carlisle High School in 1969. In 1975, she uprooted her family and went to Jackson County in the state of Kentucky. In the year 1990, Jeannette started her profession as a teacher at Jackson County Middle School. After that, she spent the next 25 years of her career as an art educator working at Jackson County High School, where she eventually retired. In addition, Jeanie will be remembered as the proprietor of Bond Grocery for ten years, as well as a cake decorator, baker, and caterer who was passionate about her work for many years. Jeanie was a genius when it came to creativity, and she was instrumental in the planning of a number of proms and dances for Jackson County Schools.

She also planned a variety of extravagant birthday parties and Vacation Bible School themes, which was fitting for her flamboyant nature. Jeanie never met a stranger and enjoyed people. She had the heart of a servant and genuinely enjoyed making other people’s lives better and sharing in their joy. Even though we will miss her very much, we believe that her passing will be a blessing for those who are in heaven. Funeral services will be held at Lakes Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 12 Noon, with Brother David Wilson officiating the ceremony. The burial will take place at the Combs Cemetery after the service. Jeff and Canaan Browning, Jason and Maddox Vaughn, Jason and Maddox Vaughn, David Cunigan, Tanner Johnson, Wes Bishop, Ronnie Parrett, and Josh McGee served as the pallbearers. Funeral and burial arrangements were handled by Lakes Funeral Home.
