Janice Greenwood Obituary, Death – In Salt Lake City, Utah, on September 15, 1932, Janice McDonald was born to her parents, LeGrande and Louise McDonald. She received her high school diploma from Granite High School after completing her education in the Holladay region. On the 18th of August in 1950, she wed Norman Greenwood at the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City. On the occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary, she made the decision to be reacquainted with her high school sweetheart. Janice is the mother of one daughter, Shaun, and two sons, Michael (who is married to Sharon) and Ryan (who is married to Jamie).
She also has seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. Her parents and husband came before her in death, so she never got to meet them. Cooking, camping, waterskiing, swimming, and traveling – both inside and outside of the United States – were some of Janice’s favorite activities. In her later years, she found pleasure in reading a good book, having a delicious dinner, and staying in touch with her family and friends.
She had a variety of jobs within the LDS church, all of which she performed to the very best of her abilities, and she was always devoted in her service. We shall miss you, beautiful and wonderful mom, as well as a terrific friend and a neighbor who was always kind, and especially for your capacity to make everything better. Viewing hours will be conducted from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2015, prior to the funeral services that will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Mount Jordan 3rd Ward Chapel located at 8950 South 400 East in Sandy.
At Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, which is located at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), in Sandy, friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on Sunday, August 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens cemetery.
