James Springer Obituary Greeley, CO, Jame Springer Has Died

James Springer Obituary, Death – James M. Springer, age 79 of Brady, Texas passed away October 20, 2015 at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg, Texas. He was born August 31, 1936 in Houston, Texas a son of Charles Christopher Springer and Vivian Ruth (Phillips) Springer. He was a member of Brady First Baptist Church and attended Redeemer Church in Brady. He was a member of the AQHA and in 1968 he was fourth in the world standing of the NCHA, in 1970 he won the non-pro cutting horse competition at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He was the proud owner of the cutting horse sire, Gay Bar King.

He attended the University of Texas and was also an avid Longhorn fan. James married his wife Kay Hobbs on June 10, 1971 in San Marcos, Texas. Survivors are his wife Kay Springer of the home; four sons, James Springer and wife Linda of Montgomery, Texas, Mike Springer and wife Michelle of Fredericksburg, Texas, Brian Springer and wife Crystal of Brady, Texas, and Christopher Springer and wife Krissie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Carrie Hall, of Borne, Texas; one sister, Lila Bohack of Montgomery, Texas; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents; two sons, David Charles Springer and William Christopher Springer; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Springer; and a brother, Charles Christopher Springer, Jr. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 23, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady. Service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady. Cremation will follow.
