Ian Norie Obituary, Death – The EKRFC is saddened to inform everyone of the sudden passing of Mr. Ian Norie and feels compelled to do so despite their best efforts. Mr. Norie was a longtime supporter of the club, having served as its President in the past and being a fan of the institution for many years. Everyone who had the fortune to know him will be profoundly saddened by their loss of him. Following Ian’s tragic passing, the club would like to express its most sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Your words of condolence should acknowledge that he was, in fact, a true gentleman who possessed a brilliant wit and a beautiful sense of humor. Please mention this. RIP Mr.Norie. A true gentleman who over the years has shown the Academy a great deal of consideration and generosity. Very sad news. Outstanding contributor to the club.
When I was a little boy, I used to carry his newspaper for years, and he would always ask how I was doing at the rugby, and he would generally be there for a talk after the game on Saturdays or the training on Thursdays. When I got older, I stopped delivering his newspaper. RIP Mr Norrie, Having to watch this unfold is quite upsetting. I always had the impression that Ian was a genuinely nice person, and I enjoyed our few exchanges that we had over the years.
