Gordon Juneau Obituary, Death – A memorial service honoring Gordon Juneau’s life will take place at Mallard Point Resort in Lake Ozark on July 2 at 2:00 p.m., with full military honors being presented. Gordon Anthony Juneau, 74 years old, a resident of Versailles, passed away on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 in the city of Lake Ozark. He was the son of Gordon Anthony, Sr. and Patricia Catherine (Smith) Juneau and was born on October 14, 1948 in State College, Pennsylvania.
His mother’s maiden name was Smith. During the time of the Vietnam War, he did his duty to his country by serving in the United States Navy. After completing his service in the military with distinction, he went on to open a restaurant of his own. Gordon was the kind of person who never spoke to an unknown person and who was always there for his loved ones, including his buddies, whom he frequently regarded as family. However, many people never witnessed the side of Gordon that personified kindness, generosity, and above all else, his love for this country.
He was recognized for his incredible abilities in the kitchen, but they never saw the other side of him. Those who were close to Gordon will mourn him very much, but his memory will live on through the recipes that he passed down to his family, and these recipes will ensure that his legacy is carried on for many years to come. Andre James Juneau, his brother; Cecilia Juneau Thomson, his sister; his nieces Jennifer Glendenning, Angela Bezer, Andrea Drussa, and Emily Jones; his nephews Anthony Juneau, Alex Juneau, Andrew Juneau, Tommy Juneau, and Ben Juneau; and his wife Sheila Vise Juneau are among his survivors. His mother, Patricia Catherine Juneau, father Gordon Anthony Juneau Sr., brother Tommy Juneau, and sisters Cindy Juneau and Beth Juneau all passed away before him. He was the youngest of five children.
