Frank Gilbert Obituary, Death – On Monday, June 5, 2023, Frank C. Gilbert, III, of Fairborn, Ohio, reached the age of 67 when he was taken home by the Lord to be with him forever. Before he was born on August 27, 1955 in San Ysidro, California, he was predeceased by both of his parents, Frank C., II and Thomasa (Smith) Gilbert. He was named after his late father. After serving in the United States Army, Frank went on to dedicate almost 30 years of his life to the community by working as a committed employee for the City of Fairborn in the water and sewer department.
He worked there until his retirement in 2021, having put in close to 30 years of total service. Frank was a patriotic American patriot who gave his service to his country. Frank placed a strong value on his family, and he treasured the time he was able to spend with his nine grandchildren and on road trips with his wife to visit as many 9/11 memorials as they could. Frank placed a high priority on his family. Frank’s first and foremost priority in life was always his family.
Not only did he not survive his parents, but also his older brother, Dennis Gilbert, passed away before him. Both of his parents and his sibling had already passed away before he was born. The Belton-Stroup Funeral Home in Fairborn, Ohio, located at 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., will be the location of the funeral service that will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at noon.
The ceremony is going to be presided over by Kenneth Garrett. At the funeral home on Friday, June 9, 2023, from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening, the family will meet and greet friends. On Saturday, beginning at eleven in the morning and continuing until the time of the ceremony, the family will also be available to receive friends. The family asks that guests come in clothes that are comfortable and casual.
