Doug Anderson Obituary, Death – We must inform you with great sorrow of the demise of (Ret.) Captain Detective Doug Anderson. Since leaving the Sheriff’s Office, Captain Anderson’s presence has been terribly missed. Everyone who had the privilege of working with him was familiar with his sense of humor and passion for helping the local youngsters through constructive interactions. We offer our sympathies to the entire Anderson family and ask that you keep them in your prayers and thoughts as this trying time passes. The family released the following statement: “Dad has defeated cancer and is now walking with Jesus.

We are relieved to know that he has been reunited with his parents and sister Lynda, even though we will miss him more than you can ever understand. The best possible father somebody could have have ever requested. Through DARE and his work in police enforcement, he made a huge impact on a lot of people’s lives. I appreciate the prayers and thoughts of everyone. Through DARE, Det. Doug impacted countless lives. For all of his pupils and other people he interacted with, he served as a fantastic role model. Det. Doug, rest in peace; your time here is up. He was unique in his type. The lives he has impacted will always be blessed.

We are grateful that we got to see him at the Galva Elementary Dare and 6th Grade Promotion in 2023 since he will be missed. Offer the Anderson Family your prayers! My sympathies go out to Doug’s family. 21 years ago, when I was a brand-new 6th grade teacher, Doug taught me a lot. by way of the DARE initiative. He genuinely changed the lives of numerous people.
