Don Ernst Obituary, Death – Many of you will recognize the man in these pictures, but for those who don’t know, his name is Don Ernst. He’s been an integral part of the Louisville music community for many years, and if you have enjoyed a Crasher show at any point in the last decade or so, it is due in large part to his passion for music. Don has been a member of our road crew for a long time, helping to transport, set up, and fine tune our equipment, doing his best to make every event the best it could be.
Unfortunately, we have to let everyone know that Don passed away Friday night. He fought a brave battle for a long time, but he just couldn’t fight anymore. We ask you to please pray for comfort for his family and the many people who loved him. Our hearts are broken, and we will miss Don always. He took his final breaths while we were performing our set at Riverstage, and while we regret that we couldn’t be with him at the end, we know that he would’ve wanted us to be on that stage sharing the music with the next generation. We love you, Don.
Condolence Messages: “This hurts my heart. Don was a phenomenal sound man and even better human being. He made my barbershop chorus, The Thoroubreds, sound good for many years. This is a huge loss for the community.”….. “Oh my so sorry for the loss of your dear friend (like family) member. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who knew and loved him.”……” So very sorry to hear this. Sending prayers for everyone from Greencastle. “
