Deborah KaKubisiak Obituary, Death – The real Debbie “The Brat” was Deborah Kay Kubisiak, who was never one to hold back a good chuckle. She entered the world on October 19, 1953, in Elkhart, Indiana, and lived 69 dazzling years, until succumbing to a current illness and dying on June 1, 2023, in Niles, Michigan. The Debbie’s family like it that way because she was the life of the gathering. Bert Kubisiak, her devoted husband, is still alive and will undoubtedly miss going to the casino with her. In honor of her mother, Tonya Kubisiak, her daughter, will carry on the practice of going shopping.
Charles Ernsberger, Debbie’s brother, is also left behind. Along with other family members who were waiting for her, she is reunited with her late parents Francis and Evelyn (Davis) Ernsberger, sister Patti Ernsberger, and other relatives.Debbie worked as a waitress and bartender for the most of her life, excelling in both positions. She earned the reputation of being everyone’s go-to confidante since she was always available to listen and offer advice. She proudly donned the moniker “The Brat,” which she earned for her sassy demeanor and contagious giggle. She quickly became a legend in the community.
When Debbie wasn’t out shopping with her daughter Tonya, she was likely gambling with her husband Bert. She enjoyed these activities a lot. Debbie was well-known for her affinity for gambling and shopping, as well as her friend-making prowess. She was the kind of person who could start a conversation with a total stranger in the grocery store queue and make them feel like friends. She was well renowned for her baking and charitable work. When someone had a birthday or it was a special occasion, she would bake. She delighted in witnessing others consume and savor her baked delicacies. She was compassionate and had a huge heart. She made an effort to make everyone smile and happy.
We practically hear her laughter resonating through the afterlife as she regales her fellow spirits with tales of her travels on Earth as we gather to honor the life of this wonderful woman. Although Debbie “The Brat” Kubisiak passed away physically, her spirit and humor will always be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
