Dan Bouquillon Obituary, Death – On May 20th, my brother, Daniel Bouquillon, passed away. I am still shocked and bereft. Being so far from my friends and family has been difficult to say the least. My family and I felt that he would have wanted me to complete this journey even though he passed on the day I landed in London. He has shown his presence to me in signs and coincidences throughout the trip. I love him so much and letting him go is the hardest thing I’ve had to do.

It has been a reminder to me that we have no idea what is behind any smile. I want this to teach me to be more gentle with people. We can never know what a person is struggling with in their life.
We need to take care of each other and pay attention to the ways that hate or anger or fear may have consumed us. We can never understand anyone else’s pain, especially if someone is different from us. We can only be there for each other and we should only lift each other up. Life is too short for anything else.
