Corey Hite Death, Obituary – Iowa National Guard Soldier Corey Hite passed away on May 22 in Iowa City after being struck by an automobile the previous day on May 22. The Iowa National Guard has confirmed that SFC Corey Hite was struck by a car when he was out for a run. According to a GoFundMe page set up for his family’s benefit, he had injuries that put his life in danger, including swelling in his brain, multiple fractures to his skull, a fractured pelvis, and holes in his lung and kidney.
