Christopher Garrow Obituary, Death – Captain Christopher J. Garrow passed dead on June 12, 2023, as a result of an illness that was caused by his deployment at and around the World Trade Center site in the aftermath of the terrorist attack that occurred on September 11, 2001. Following the tragic events of September 11, Captain Garrow was given the mission of assisting in the search and recovery operations in New York City.
Captain Garrow, now 47 years old, joined the State Police on November 2, 2000, making his total number of years spent working for the department 23. The majority of his career was spent with Troop B, where he was most recently assigned to the Ray Brook location of Troop B. Captain Garrow is originally from Peru, New York, which is located in Clinton County. He is survived by his wife Jillian and their two kids, Maggie and Ella.
