Charlene Curtis-Thomas Obituary, Death – On June 3, 2023, our much cherished Dr. Charlene Curtis-Thomas went away in an unexpected manner. Charlie, or Dr. Curtis-Thomas, was a beautiful daughter, sister, friend, and colleague who had an impact on many people’s lives. She was known by many people. Charlie was a guiding light in the darkness. She exuded joy and vivacity in equal measure. She was a person who worked extremely hard and gave her all in everything she did.
Because Charlie would do anything to be of assistance to a fellow human being, the choice to pursue a career in medicine was an obvious one for her. Dr. Curtis-Thomas had devoted her entire life to the medical field, and she was about to begin her third year as a resident in internal medicine at Nassau University Medical Center.
The passing of Dr. Curtis-Thomas has left all of us in utter disarray. Because of the unexpected nature of her demise, our family was not prepared for the significant financial burden that would be incurred by attending her burial. We want to give our sweet Charlie girl the monument that she so justly deserves, so that we can honor her memory and say our “see you laters” to her.
