Caileigh Duggan Death, Obituary, Funeral  – Caileigh Duggan was the oldest daughter of Harold and Ida Spencer, both of whom have passed away and are warmly remembered. She was the epitome of kindness. Shirley (also known as “Grammie”) was married to Michael Allan Duggan, who passed away in 2011.

Michelle (Bill) Craig, Cheryl (Mark) Hartman, Michael Duggan, Christopher (Sharon) Duggan, Robert (Amy) Duggan, Siobhan (Michael) Smith, and Mary Cathrine (Kenneth) Dorney are Shirley’s seven surviving children. She is also survived by her devoted grandchildren: Heather, Cynthia, Elizabeth, Clara, Kelsey, Ian, Declan, Sophia, Margaret Katherine, Cameron, McKenna

She was a woman with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a lifelong commitment to her education, earned her bachelor’s degree from Newton College of the Sacred Heart in Boston in 1955, but she never stopped going to classes. The study of Japanese, complete immersion in other cultures, teaching languages, and attendance at specific classes offered by the Smithsonian Institution Museums were just a few of her favorite things to do in her spare time.

Her passion for exploration brought her all over the world, from her time spent studying abroad in Madrid to the exciting new experiences she had while she was based in England. Her travels took her to a number of countries, including Ireland, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, and Belgium.
