Arthur McConnell Obituary, Death – On Thursday, June 1, 2023, the Hillsdale Hospital was the location where Arthur Sanden McConnell, who resided in Hillsdale and was seven months old at the time of his death, passed away. On October 6, 2022, in the community of Hillsdale, Elias and Lacey (Brown) McConnell became parents to a son through the miracle of childbirth. Arthur was a person with a big personality who was always ready for an exciting new experience.
He was a seasoned climber despite the fact that he was practically at the stage when he could crawl. Arthur was the type of person who enjoyed being tickled and had a laugh that was contagious. It was one of his favorite things to do, right up there with trying out new foods and being close to his parents when they were sleeping. Arthur looked up to his older brother and enjoyed picking his brother’s brain and playing with him. Arthur saw his brother as a role model. His kind smile and loving embraces will be sorely missed by a great number of people.
Arthur is survived by his mother and father, Elias and Lacey, as well as his brother, James McConnell; his maternal grandparents, Ken and Lisa Brown; his paternal grandparents, Michael McConnell, Elisabeth Saunders, and Chris Anderson; his maternal great-grandparents, Gary and Sherrie Eddy; his paternal great-grandparents, Lis McConnell and Bernardine Saunders; and a large extended church family. The passing of Arthur occurred on April 15, 2018.
Lyla Brown, who was his maternal great-grandmother, had already passed away when he was born. James Saunders and William McConnell, both of whom were his paternal great-grandpas, had already passed away before he did. At the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM, Arthur Sanden McConnell will be laid to rest. Pastor Everett Henes is going to serve as the officiant for the event. Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the interment will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsdale. Beginning at ten in the morning on Saturday, the family will welcome friends and other guests into their home for visitation, which will continue right up until the time of the funeral service.
