Arnold “Bunk” Tepiew Death, Obituary – On Thursday, June 8, 2023, in the city of Neopit, the life of Arnold “Bunk” Tepiew, Jr., age 42, was cut short unexpectedly. The late Arnold and Zillah (Wayka) Tepiew, Sr. welcomed their son Bunk into the world on August 14, 1980 in Shawano. Bunk is their surviving son. 2009 was the year that Bunk completed his studies at College of Menominee Nation. He enjoyed making other people laugh, with a wonderful sense of humor, and frequently referred to himself as the commander of the “Tepiew Unit.
He had a lot of fun hanging out in the forest with his brother Jeremy, doing things like cutting wood and playing cards. Bunk was a powerful man who worked very hard and placed his family first in whatever he did. His love for his children was unending, and he would do anything for them. His children meant everything to him. He was a wonderful parent and will be sorely missed by his family.
Bunk is survived by his children Ciara Tepiew, Aliciya Tepiew, Arnold Tepiew III, and Marlena Tepiew; his special mother and father, Arlene and Joe Swede; his siblings Patrick (Emily) Wayka, Ryan Wayka, Jeremy Tepiew, Kari Tepiew, Loni Tepiew, Joel Kinney, Sr., and Timothy (Sue) Kinney; and a special uncle, Doug Tepiew. In addition to these, he is survived by a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives as well as friends.
His parents, a sister named Arnelle Tepiew, and a very beloved niece named Shyale Neault all passed away before Bunk did. On the 13th of June, 2023, at eleven in the morning, a funeral mass for Bunk will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena, with Father Hanz Christian serving as the celebrant. Visitation will begin on Sunday at noon and continue at the home of Arlene and Joe Swede, located at W2821 Mae Chevalier Road in Keshena, until the funeral procession leaves for the church on Tuesday morning. The Swedes will host the visitation.
